My New Book Covers

I'll let you in on a secret. In the next few months, the first three books in my Small Town series will be published. Between each of their publication dates, I intend to publish a series of interconnected short stories.

Here's what happened. I'm writing a series about the romantic adventures of the six children in the Haywood family. After the first book, I became curious about their parents, so I wrote a short story--a prequel. But then, I loved it so much, I knew it couldn't remain a short story...

But, because I have so many Haywood books to write, not to mention my Invisible Maid series (a Katie Tate book) I don't really have the bandwidth to write about Carly and Christian. Their story has become my guilty pleasure--something I write in my "down" time. I intend to publish their story in short episodes between the releases of The Small Town Series.

What do you think of my covers?

Small Town Shenanigans is finished. I'll put it up for pre-order soon. Here's its blurb:

Sydney Corbet, a therapist employed by the mega-publishing juggernaut, Shusterfield House, has been dispatched to the tiny town of Cascadia, Washington, to soothe the ruffled feathers of a reclusive literary genius.

When Dallas Haywood learns his irritable octogenarian neighbor is secretly penning swoon-worthy teeny-bopper romances, he’s happy to help the old man retain his anonymity.

As the world's gaze fixates on Cascadia in a feverish scavenger hunt frenzy, promising a face-to-face meeting with the author and a life-altering million-dollar treasure, Sydney and Dallas find themselves thrust into an uneasy alliance of necessity. But in a race against time where every clue poses a deadly risk, they discover the stakes are far higher than just unmasking an author's identity or securing a bounty—it's a battle for their very hearts and lives.

Small Town Shenanigans is book #2 in the Small Town series. Each book is a standalone, full length, contemporary romantic adventure and follows the exploits and escapades of one of the six Haywood children in the small town of Cascadia, Washington.

I'm about fifty pages into book three of my Small Town Series. I actually got sidetracked with book four, and I'm about 70 pages into that one. I finally figured out why I was stuck on book three, so I should be good to go.

This is a short story that doesn't want to stay small. I love it so much, I'm going to let it play out the way it wants.
