C is for Creativity

Creativity, in my opinion, requires three of characteristics that are often frowned upon by the rest of the world.
1. Boredom. We actually need to court isolation, just let our minds wander and free ourselves from the problems of those around us. Which leads to the next point.
2. Selfishness. As Peter Drucker, a business management writer said,"--productivity in my experience consists of NOT doing anything that helps the work of other people but to spend all one’s time on the work the Good Lord has fitted one to do, and to do well.”

To be creative, we need to have the time and space to do the things that we need to do.
You can read more on that here.:What do Hemingway and Nehemiah have in common

3. Creativity has to be obtuse. You can't be anxious to please anyone other than your own muse, unless, of course, you're commissioned or employed. For example, if you write for Harlequin, you can't write a slash 'em up horror story and expect your editor to publish it, or if you're writing the church newsletter you can't let your pants down. But if you're lucky enough to create according to your own whim, you should follow Andy Warhol's advice.

“Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.”
